Water Safety Training
Are you keeping your employees safe around water?
First aid training is well embedded in health and safety legislation and many companies are very clear on what they need to do to remain compliant. However, water safety training is much less clear. None the less, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 places a requirement on employers to take reasonable steps to protect their employees from harm. If you have staff working in or near water, training them in the RLSS National Water Safety Management programme is an excellent way to help satisfy your obligations to ensure the safety of your staff.
Training for all industries
David Sneddon is a tutor for the National Water Safety Management Programme (NWSMP) developed by the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), developed in response to a need for nationally recognised water safety training. Utilising many years of experience working in and around many different water environments, David has amassed a wide range of skills and knowledge in water safety. This knowledge, combined with an engaging, informative and relaxed atmosphere makes this suite of courses highly beneficial to all who attend them.
RLSS NWSMP
The National water safety management programme has been designed by the RLSS in conjunction with a wide range of stakeholders including the HSE, emergency services, outdoor activity providers and many other industry representatives. The courses are designed to be tailored to the setting that delegates will be working in, ensuring that they are well prepared to deal with any waterborne emergencies that may arise.
Level 1

Designed for situations where you are working near the water but not planning to enter the water. This course is delivered as a dry session.
Level 2
Level 1
For delegates who are planning to enter the water but not deeper than shallow wading depth. Split in to Still Water, River and Beach environments
Level 3
Level 3
Essential in settings where you planning to enter water deeper than shallow wading depth. Especially suitable for outdoor instructors
